I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Certified Grief Recovery Specialist. I have had a private practice for over 25 years and have accumulated much wisdom along the way. I have had clients who challenged my sense of competence, leading me down the path of self-doubt. I have had clients who sabotage therapeutic interventions or don’t do the assigned homework. I provide consultation to therapists feeling isolated, uncertain, and wanting some support and direction in their work with clients.
My therapy style incorporates CBT, mindfulness, metaphor and humor. My eclectic approach is always driven by the needs of my clients. I am direct, sometimes didactic, and always provide a safe, non-judgmental environment. I specialize in working with clients who are having difficulty with transitional life stages, relationships (both past and present), anxiety, depression, grief and loss.
If you are just starting your practice or have had a practice for a while, I will provide support, feedback, tools, techniques and encouragement. You will feel more confident and competent. You will learn to treat yourself with compassion and learn the skills that work best for you.
I hope to hear from you and have a conversation about what you’d like support with and how I can provide it.
